Finding your Spiritual Path

So really, how did you find your spiritual path? This is a very good question that I get asked quite often. If you are searching and want to begin your spiritual journey or path but don’t know how then you probably have more questions than answers. Firstly in order to begin your spiritual path you’ll need some basic ideas of what you are looking for, in other words, what you want to accomplish spiritually. During a peaceful time of meditation when you can be alone just think about your life and what you desire. Are you looking for denominational teachings of faith in organized religions that exist already so you can belong to a group of people who believe the same way you do? Maybe you are looking for a brand new religious experience for the first time or you want to simply expand your existing faith by empowering it to a higher level. If you really don’t understand what all this spiritual or faith talk is about and you are just curious then I can tell you right now your spirit is looking for some guidance whether you realize it or not. At this point in your life, your spirit is seeking what it needs to make you feel like a whole person and fill the emptiness inside. This is the time you’ll want to search for your path as you will be ready to learn, listen and grow! Don’t worry many people have been in the same position as you are now when they first started searching for answers. You are not alone!

Secondly, there are other things to consider when you are searching for your spiritual path. You need to know how your path will coincide with your moral values as a person. These values are part of your mind or consciousness and you don’t want to join a following of people who practice beliefs that go against your moral conscious because you’ll be confused and unable to feel whole, centered or peaceful. We are a threefold beings made up of a mind, body and spirit. Our spirit helps to feed our mind and bodies when they need strength, energy, knowledge, peace, etc. We have free wills to make up our mind and choose our own destiny or path. If we chose one that goes against our moral character, we can’t grow spiritually! If you are researching information on different types of spiritual paths or religions and something about what you find rubs you the wrong way, you want to stay away from that research and information. Just keep on searching and don’t give up! You will know what path is right for you when you find it as your spirit will jump inside and keep leading you on a quest to find out as much information as possible. It will be like a whirlwind, unstoppable! Your heart or spirit will begin feeling peaceful through the midst of trouble, even if your body and mind doesn’t. It will give you strength each day as you “practice” your faith; so there within is the key to becoming whole in your spirituality! Your faith and spirituality will only grow if you keep “feeding and practicing” it! It’s like a tiny seed in a garden that needs nurtured, watered, protected from pests, weeds, etc. You wouldn’t leave a seed alone and expect it to grow properly. You’ll want to practice your faith daily just like you would practice the piano while taking piano lessons or study for an exam in school.

I’ve given you the basics on how to start this wonderful journey of enlightenment but it doesn’t end there. Once you’ve meditated, written down your moral values and what you want to accomplish spiritually, you’ll also want to write down any questions you may still have. One of the questions you might write down is if the new path you chose will require you to adhere to certain rules or regulations. You are the only one who knows what you like or dislike. You might or might not like joining an organization or a structured group. As you look everything over, you will be able to research different types of paths or religious teachings with a better knowledge of what you desire or need. A good way to begin your search is by using keywords on the internet if you have access to it via your home computer, library or someone else’s computer. You can type keywords such as religious paths, spirituality, spiritual paths, religious organizations, churches, church doctrines, etc. If you know what type of path you want to research you can just type the name such as Christianity, Native American Paths, Wicca, Shamanism or just the word “religion” as it will bring in tons of results for you. You can also go to the library and look for sections about spirituality and the librarian will be able to point you in the right direction. There are many ways to research, but just do what feels right to you.

If you are wondering how to find which Deity or Higher Power you should believe in, that will come in time. It’s sort of like fishing, you have to find the river or lake you want to fish in first, then get the supplies, journey there and then bait the hook before you can cast your reel in to find the fish. Finding your path is a process. While doing your research, each type of path or religion should reference what they believe or how they practice their faith. Just read and absorb the information throwing out what doesn’t speak kindly to your spirit and keeping what you want to study further. Your spirit will lead you so everything becomes crystal clear! It’s like an inner knowing that will confirm you are on the right track. If you decide to join a church or group later in your path I’m sure someone will be willing to answer any questions you may have. Once you feel comfortable in your searching techniques you may want to explore other areas of research such as angels, angel guides, spirit guides, animal guides, totems, etc. Ultimately finding your path is one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences you’ll ever have. Remember you are only limited by what you don’t do. The possibilities are endless as long as you are willing to be open-minded and let your spirit soar! May the God and Goddess be with you on your spiritual journey!

A Blessing Spell for Ring of Power & Magick

If you wish to bless a ring for power & magick, do this spell first in private before going out with your ring in public. This way you'll know that every time you wear it and especially touch it, you'll be reminded of your magick and power no matter where you are, even if you are in a situation where you feel intimidated.

Set up any tools you feel are right for you to use while doing the following blessing spell, such as your cauldron, candles, pentagrams, gemstones, etc. You'll want to use tools that make you feel empowered and that have your positive energies on them.

Cast your circle of protection putting your tools in the circle with you.
Stand in the middle of your circle with your ring in the palm of your left hand with palms up on both your hands lifting them toward the sky.
Call upon your higher powers and guides to evoke a magickal blessing upon the ring by asking that you have the power, magick and wisdom you need when you touch the ring. Ask that the ring and you be linked together to form a magickal bond as a reminder of your power and magick so when you are in public and can’t do a spell or ritual, just thinking of what you need for the situation at hand will come to you as you touch the ring.

Repeat these words times 3 and then put the ring on your right hand on any finger you choose.

Bless this ring on my right hand
So when I touch it I will stand
Inside my magick with
Power and strength
Thrice these words will seal this link

So mote it be

Close your circle of protection and thank your higher powers and guides.
Magick is all about intent so thinking of what you need from it when touching your ring will work if you believe it will. Your higher powers and guides know your thoughts and will respond to them. Remember when doing magick to ever mind the rule of three and harm thee none.

Medicine Cards is a unique book featuring Animal Totems. The book offers teachings on animal medicines and what each animal totem shows you about yourself. The medicine referred to in this book is about life and how to allow your guides to find you, help you and teach you more about yourself than you could ever imagine. Each animal guide or totem has an essence that can speak to us through our dream state, the physical realm, visions or meditations. They will and can approach you in various forms and ways. To understand how this works, the authors break down each animal guide by name such as Wolf, Raven and so on; along with the animal’s characteristics and then they show you how to invoke your guides. You must be willing, open minded, humble and allow yourself to be taught in order for you to receive the full understanding of each of your guides and who they are. Animal medicine brings power, understanding and strength by showing your strengths, weaknesses things you should know and some things you don’t want to know for your journey through life. It will help you become spiritually awakened and whole. This Native American medicine is very strong for your inner wellness and each guide has hundreds or more lessons to teach you along your pathway.

I bought this book when I first started seeking my animal guides and found it to be not only helpful to me but many others as well. If you wonder why through the years you have been intrigued by certain animals and why they show up around you at the strangest times in your life, you will understand after reading this book. I also have the Medicine Tarot Cards as I bought the complete book and card set. If you want to read a book that inspires, enlightens, and empowers your spirit, then this book is the right one for you. With a 0-5 Star Rating, zero being the worst and 5 being the best, I give this book and the card set an overall rating of 5 Stars! It will be hard to put this book down once you start reading it as it grabs your attention and keeps it focused. I hope you enjoy reading Medicine Cards.
